The Common Blue Damselfy. I prefer the Latin name to ‘Common’. To me ‘Common’ implies Chav and I hate Chavs. Filthy creatures, unlike this beauty.

I don’t have much to say about this one, apart from the fact that it is a leaf on a tree in a forest… near Aldington, Kent, UK.
It rained all weekend, so here is a photo of rain. It is supposed to be summer here but the sun shines mainly during the week. As soon as I am off work at the weekend, it chucks it down. I find this unfair and have complained to the council.
Taken in Richmond Park in a rather swanky venue for a wedding reception. Not sure what the Thank You was on, but the booze was free, the food was good and the company wasnae bad either… so Thank You V x
I still get amazed by how these things actually work. The flimsiest looking insect to my mind, but gorgeous anyway. This is a prime example of the sort of Butterfly one can find in Canterbury, Kent, UK.
