Leap Year Birthday Girl

Leap Year Birthday Girl
Another really old shot (3 cameras ago!) but it is a Leap Year and that means H finally has a proper birthday. So Happy Birthday H. And, yes, I am a little disturbed by the Gent top right too.

Pink Elephant

Pink Elephant
This is an old shot, taken before the little shop around the corner from work closed down. I love these bubblegum machines, tho I have never bought anything from them as I don’t like bubblegum.

Meet The Parents

Meet The Parents
Mum and Dad being dwarfed by Gunnera. Incidentally this is the 400th image to make it to this website, so go me.

Gone Fishing

Gone Fishing
I rather chickened out with this one and shot it from the hip, well knee actually as I was sat on a bench. Shooting from the knee isn’t easy with a 50mm on DX sensor, but I am pleased how this one came out. Shot in Maidstone, Kent, UK.

Free Beer!

Free Beer!
I like free beer, and this was free to me as my mate bought me it 🙂

Weil’s Disease

Weil's Disease
I just love signs like this that totally bring you down and make you wonder what crap you have picked up on a nice relaxing photo walk. The disease leptospirosis is caused by leptospira bacteria. It is transmitted to humans by contact with the urine of rats, cattle, foxes, rodents and other wild animals, usually by contact with contaminated soil or water. There are many different types of leptospira bacteria, each tends to be associated with a specific animal species.

Escape

Escape
Well it’s another contrail shot, but I find them soothing, so be soothed.

Kill Your Speed

Kill Your Speed
Speed Kills apparently. Ok, a bit of camera trickery, this car wasn’t actually going all that fast, but they do at this part of the road so I am not at all surprised at the amount of traffic incidents here.

Canada Geese

Canada Geese
Canada Geese on the clean, natural and rubbish free River Medway, Maidstone, Kent, UK.

Marker Type Things

Marker Type Things
I have never worked out what these things are… I guess they are markers of some sort for pipes – maybe for water? I feel it is something I should know, tho knowing it may not enhance my life a great deal.
