Thankfully gulls are pretty rare in Maidstone. I quite like the Black Headed gull tho, so it is nice to see these in Mote Park.

Ok, not a fruit at all, but the head of a something or other.

Since coming back from NZ and reviewing the pictures I have been convinced this was Worser Bay. Shame it isn\’t as I was going to spew out the fact that it was named after James Heberly\’s frequent predictions of \”worser\” weather (thanks to my other half\’s uncle for that… and wikipedia)… but, of course, this is Scorching Bay. Shortly after I took this we had a lovely drink and piece of cake in the Choclate Fish Cafe on Karaka Bay Road. I only wish we could have stayed longer, or gone back and enjoyed the views a bit more after we had recovered from the flight. Ah well, next time eh?
